Australia in 2011 has experienced a range of natural disasters including bushfires, floods, and severe storms. These events have caused great financial hardship for individuals and communities, as well as resulted in the loss of life.
A few short months ago, Australia suffered the worst natural disaster of its history. The Queensland floods which continued through New South Wales and Victoria, followed by ravaging fires throughout Western Australia and other States. So far hundreds are dead and missing and thousands are homeless.
This fund raising gala dinner at The High Commission Australia House is to raise money for the Red Cross Australia relief and recovery effort. The Red Cross are working tirelessly to help the local people rebuild their lives throughout cities and outreach areas affected.
All organisers and contributors of this event are donating their time to ensure maximum funds are raised for this event.

A variety of amazing auction donations are on the way to Australia House to support this event, check back in to see our growing list.
Chefs Bruno Loubet, Shane Osborn and Brett Graham will be auctioned off separately to make a memorable meal at your home or venue of your choice.
A number of award winning Australian chefs have volunteered not only their time but staff to support the evening. Each dish will be cooked by a different chef:-

Shane Osborn
Shane is the co-owner and head chef of Pied a Terre. The restaurant has gained some of the highest awards and accolades possible, starting with its first Michelin star in 1993 and then becoming a two Michelin star restaurant in 1996.

Brett Graham
Brett owns The Ledbury which was awarded two Michelin Stars in 2010, voted number one restaurant in the Top 100 National Restaurants Awards, as well as gaining a ZAGAT London Resaturants 2011 No.1 Food Rating

Bruno Loubet
Bruno has recently returned to London after spending eight years in Australia, where he owned Bruno's Tables in Brisbane, and worked at Berardo's in Noosa and Baguette in Brisbane. In February 2010 Bruno opened Bistrot Bruno Loubet at The Zetter Hotel in Clerkenwell. In October 2010 Bistrot Bruno Loubet won the award for highest new entry at number three in the UK, at the National Restaurant Awards.
Tickets are £150 each or £1350 for a table of ten.
